The Nanaimo Homeless Coalition brings together non-profit organizations, governments and concerned citizens to develop and drive solutions to end homelessness. Together, the Coalition unites its resources and expertise to diminish the harm caused by homelessness on individuals and communities. By bringing together the many organizations working to address homelessness, Coalition members are more cohesive and impactful in their approach. We make recommendations to United Way Central & Northern Vancouver Island, which acts as the liaison for Federal investments through Reaching Home: Canada’s Homelessness Strategy. Reaching Home funds are invested in organizations aimed at preventing and reducing homelessness across Canada.
