At 65 years old, Norma has found her home and her community on Gabriola Island.

Raised in foster care, Norma grew up in different environments, but never really knew what it meant to have a place to call home. That was until she landed on Gabriola 15 years ago and found a stable, healthy environment in a community she loves. To her, that’s meant everything.

Sadly, Norma’s home has been put up for sale, and she is now not only faced with homelessness, but with the prospect of losing her community.

Hear more about what Norma is up against and what it means for her future, and the future of many others just like her.
